"Do you think Christian fundamentalism would also fail.....if not why not?"

I don't think the Christian fundamentalists are of the same numbers or extreme nature. There are some whack jobs, but our government and society goes after them and jails them. The Islamic fundamentalists are encouraged and supported by religiously run dictatorships and kingdoms. As a religion, I think the basic message of Christianity is a good one, and it provides more comfort and does more good for people than harm. Fortunately for us we live in a country where there is religious freedom, and we can all worship what we want or nothing at all.

If our government forced Christianity on people I do not believe America would be where it is today. Not even close. Hopefully you are not one of the anti-religion "fundementalist" that thinks that saying the pledge of allegence or the term God Bless America is state run religion. Those guys scare me. They seem to hate our country.
