Aren't there other kinds of hounds??
Bad earnings but stock does not drop (so you should buy and it goes up).

Good earnings but stock opens down so you should immediately sell at least till it stalls.

Are there classes of hounds?
Class 1, class 2, and class 3 hound signals.
1 on individual stocks, 2 on a sector, 3 on the index?
Or maybe my numbers are reversed.

Perhaps it is not on stocks or sectors but on the degree of divergance from expecation. I think there SHOULD be other types of hounds than the one you described.

Maybe I am stealing your term for uses that were never intended, but then again maybe there are other uses for "the hound call" that you did not originally envision.

No there was no setup on ADI but it was clear bad earnings did not matter. I was correct to get the F out of the way. Last week of expiry I could have made a lot on some cheap calls if I was gutsy.

If NVLS rises tomorrow and closes green is that a hound?
Perhaps it is just month end BS but one (short term) that you do not want to fight (yes/no?). If you do fight it, for how long? There was no TA setup but there was a NEWS setup! There was an FA setup. Can't there be at least a class 1 FA hound call vs a class 2 TA hound call? (reverse the numbers if you please)

Maybe this depends on your timeframe. The reaper could care less about hounds (I think, unless perhaps they are really really extreme howling).

Like I suggested. Perhaps there are classes of hound calls but not sure how to rate them. I think there are hounds all over the damn place. The signals and intensity and the pain for being incorrect varies "by the hound" but the calls seem to be there.
