Colin Powell. My favorite too. It is unbelievable that he grew from the South Bronx into what he is today. I always trust people who have seen the bottom the middle and the top first hand. It gives one a perspective unknown to those who come in at the top or middle. Those who rise through the ranks thorough hard work and intelligence are less in awe (in my opinion) of the highest echelon. They know where the bodies are buried because they have seen the failure of flawed strategies and tactics at all levels. Colin Powell retains credibility and deserves to be trusted. He is also politically brilliant. We will be listening to him long after many of these shoot from the hip guys are long gone.
