All OT. Kodiak, it may not be a boring day for Jim when every penny that PGO drops or rises changes his portfolio value by over 5k. I vote for rises for both altruistic and selfish reasons since Jim keeps propping up and I can't buy more really, really cheaply. g.

Re the Yankees. Have you ever noticed that those that are doing well like things just the way they are and will scream like stuck pigs when things turn against them? In the practice of law I found that there was no whinier-"there's not enough money in the world to fairly compensate me"-injured party than a previously anti-plaintiff person who was seriously injured as a result of someone else's neglect themselves. Circumstances seem to have a way of changing ones perceptions of fairness.

Finally, the quote of the year in my opinion:

"It might be interesting to wonder why all the generals see it in the same way, and all those, who never fired a shot in anger and really held back to go to war, see it in a different way. That's usually the way it is in history."

From General Zinni as introduced in the following quote:

"Attacking Iraq now will cause a lot of problems," Zinni told members of the Florida Economic Club. "If you ask me my opinion, General Scowcroft, General Powell, General Schwarzkopf, General Zinni -- maybe all see this the same way."

Who do you think he meant when he said,"and all those..who never fired a shot in anger and really held back to go to war." Could that have been Rumsfeld, Bush, and Cheney? g. Ed
