They are not looking at the recent data on this one, but I think they are "anticipating" a "drop off" in orders in the next several months.

Gottfried has posted charts on monthly Bookings and tabular data has been posted monthly on this thread that shows Bookings steadily increasing since September 2001(614M) to June 2002(1171M). In July bookings dropped from the June number to 1153M(-18M). Not much of a drop, but the analysts are convinced from listening to the industry about "bad conditions", or should I say, "no visibility", that order input will be down for some number of months.

At least that is my "read" on what they are trying to say.
