The use of the phrase "get their share" was somewhat tongue in cheek.

Investing is also a business. There are many activities that are required in a business that are not “on the first tier” of activities for the business. But they still make the effort to make those activity as efficient as possible to reduce the cost to the business.

Interest, while a small part of the “business” of investing, has its place and significant improvements in return can be made by offsetting these expenses. (I believe the “average” investor that uses margin underestimates the impact of interest expense on their performance.)
