Charlie Minter and Marty Weiner are not the only bears around. Harry Newton is also bearish. Below is from today daily article.

8:30 AM Friday, August 30, 2002: All the bears are the beach. When they come back to work on Tuesday (Monday is Labor Day), they will sell their recent gains and/or sell short and stock prices will crater. What's funny about this simplistic "analysis" is I can actually name you several bears who ARE at the beach and who will be at their desks on Tuesday selling.

Perhaps all the bearishness can be viewed in a contrarian light as a positive. My gut tells me that that the real problem with getting this market moving is the fear of war with Iraq. People seem to be taking every opportunity to cash in on short term swings going both long and/or short. Since I am a lousy market timer I am hoping that in a year from now Iraq will not be an issue and most stocks including tech will be much higher.
