Something has indeed changed In Sysmark

Sysmark 2001 gave the AthWipe 1.6GHz a score of 215.

Sysmark 2002 gave the same processor a score of 220.

Thanks for pointing out the difference and demonstrating the increase, even though small for this process.

On the other hand, the Intel 2GHz increased from 213 to 282. But Intel introduced new technology with the Northwood processor including the 400 MHz bus, now up to 533 MHz.

Intel continues to introduce new technology and increase performance. At the same time AMD stands still. No wonder that AMD is "angry" about the Sysmark benchmark. It accurately exposes their inept performance as technology advance.
