Welcome back Jay [when you finally arrive]. While you were away, Uncle Al tried to explain to Mindless Zombies why raising interest rates wouldn't have been a good idea as it would have caused a recession, which would not have been a good idea during the bursting of a speculative bubble.

Best to simply leave the Mindless Zombies to lose their shirts while smoothing the crunch by doing exactly what he did. He did raise interest rates as much as was sensible without damaging the non-speculative economy.

Of course the Mindless Zombies won't 'get it'.

Maybe their role is simply to work, save a bit of money, then be fleeced like the sheeple they are, which will fund the superior beings who can figure out stuff like CDMA and CDNA. That makes sense. They benefit from the inventiveness and investment skill of the non-Zombies because they buy the products.

I lost a TonkaTruck load of cash by failing to understand that the people at Globalstar wouldn't change their marketing plans despite the harsh facts of reality expressed by their potential subscribers. That money went to somebody who had more clues [or luck] than I did. So they get to be the investor and I get to be the sheople.

PS: Sheople are evolutionarily more advanced investors than the more simpleton sheeple - sheople only lose half their fleece; sheeple are fully-fleeced.
