Of course.
Would the cultures of Greece and Rome been as highly developed without slaves? After all, they did not have the kind of technology we have, to free them from mundane concerns. Slaves did that for them. Would our country have been able to break away from England if we had not had so many slaves producing so much in the South? Is that a good thing? If it is, then slavery did produce good things. Of course to admit that their is good, even in something we consider bad, does not make it a "good thing". I know you will understand this distinction even if some people probably will not.
