Well, I didn't (and still don't) know it was a lie. I accepted your assurance on that point, but that isn't knowledge. For all I know, the person who is behind the E persona could be a Playboy Bunny, or a "working girl" specializing in sadistic sex play, or webmistress for one of the more unsavory sites on the internet. I have no specific reason to believe that any of those are true. Nor, though, do I know them to be false.
So it's inaccurate of you to say that I told a lie about that I knew was a lie. It is only accurate to say that I said something about the E persona that I didn't know to be true, and that you stated was a lie, and that in the absence of and pending evidence to the contrary I accepted your denial.
Let's go right back to your own quote: " Like, do you think that saying something makes it true? I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but it doesn't. "
So what you're saying is that your saying what you did about you and sadistic porn didn't make it true. Nor, of course, does it make it false.
It makes it undetermined.
What I find most fascinating is that that episode of long ago -- very long ago in Internet years -- apparently still haunts you. Do the words "get over it and get on with your life" have any meaning for you? |
