Farrakhan and many so called (or wannabe) leaders of African Americans (I confess I don't like that term -- it is separatist or has such a connotation for me)continue to mock and take advantage of their own race by practicing the politics of victimization.

Current day desecendants of slaves are no more a product of slavery than I am a product of European oppression. I've enlsaved no one and I don't owe them anything who believe they are descendant from slaves.

Who can take Farrakhan and Jackson, sharpton and these people seriously, when most African Americans don't?
They live for the limelight and can't do anything or get any voice unless they speak something radical and foolish -- so they spout all they can ... history won't remember them well, IMO. It's a shame -- there are so many who just want to be Americans - really want to not be characterized as different or separate.

Reparations -- if granted -- will just be a continuation of the enslavement brought about by all the social programs since the early 60's.
