Ken,

I just finished rereading Michael Doran's piece, "Somebody's Else's Civil War." It remains, even after all these months, to my mind, the gold standard for a brief answer to the question "Why did 9-11 Happen?" Just as well, it's the best brief statement as to why one needs to worry about the Islamists (Nadine and Pipes make this point) but why such worry should be made precise. Not all Islamists, not all Sunni Islamists.

Is it possible/wise to put a link to it on the title page? I would like to refer friends to the article but don't carry the url or post number around in my head. I will, for instance, be traveling more than I like this fall, not simply vacationing. I would like to fire up a friend's computer, go to SI, then to the header page for this forum and be able to find the Doran piece.

If it's too big a problem, opens too many doors for additional articles, or whatever, just forget about it. I can't find other ways to solve my problem.
