"OK so this (sale of bol.com) means there is no other major online retailer in europe?" Is it not possible there can be another buyer for bol.com? I believe there are other competitors to Amazon in Europe but at the moment none come to mind. "Ebay is not experiencing the same kind of intl success that they have here. Maybe amzn can become a truly global company though, they certainly face tougher startup challenges." Please correct me if I am wrong but I thought eBay was doing extremely well everywhere except in Japan and that was due to Softbank and their interest in Yahoo. We sure receive a lot of orders from Europe through eBay as well as Australia.
