RE: "...little likelihood that my shares will be called away..." My criteria was met in DEC, JAN, FEB, MAR. If you remember, we had just had "drastic price moves". My plan is for LTB&H investors, like myself. I thought that prices were ahead of themselves earlier in the year, but I couldn't be absolutely sure. I sold out of the money from what I thought was already high. The market gets ahead of itself from time to time. When it gets to peak valuations for semi-equips, I sell. For semis without strong cyclical behavior and for semi-equips below peak valuations, I hope to sell covered calls. The "smaller returns more often" approach seems to be even more susceptible to "drastic price moves", but, please, post your specific ideas. I know you have done well with a few already.
