Shack, not drunk, just stupid, (at times). I apologize to everyone here for my offensive, lame (attempt at) humor. Until the Freep pointed out that some nitwits actually hold such views, I thought that my words were so inherently ludicrous they could only be taken as purposefully silly. That's why I didn't understand when AA took offense -- I thought he was just in a grumpy mood or something. Most folks I know think of Canadians as being pretty much like us, except a tad more civilized -- particularly in such areas as health care and the like. As for me, my view of Canada was cemented during the Iranian hostage crisis, when the Canadian delegation in Tehran risked their own freedom, (and quite possibly their lives as well), to shelter (for something like 18 months) several U.S. citizens who had managed to evade being rounded up by the so-called "students." I'm terribly sorry to have caused you all such offense. Regards, augieboo
