- gerrymandered single seat districts, jim crow, winner takes all, tyranny of the simple majority
- proportional representation
- two party or two-block systems, tyranny of either majority or minority
- party lists set up by what??
- direct vs indirect elections
- consensus and viable centrist parties
- continuity in major issues
- large and small populations
- mixed systems

Btw, within all of this, France have been stepping forwards and backwards for a long time,
fearing the existing as well as future system will be abused by small minorities.

Anyway, the (french) presidential election system seem to be successfull, although difficult
to understand for many.

Who knows, maybe even France will have a something like a 30-30-30 or 20-20-20% party
distribution in the future??

Nobody promised election systems would be instantly easy to understand, but this century
is seen as the major one, after last century introduced voting rights even for women.
