Actually, I found PM's invasive and discouraged it. What I have had to say was (and still is) pretty much public. Any PM of mine could be posted to pretty much anyone (there weren't many and I would exclude some of the ones X and I sent to each other - I would never reveal and have never revealed anything personal to someone I hadn't met in 3D). I've been on-line from the 80's when BBS's were big. You just don't give some information to people, especially when on line. It shocks me the kind of information that people say publicly. I mean to rail about how one feels about their spouse in a negative way? What ass would do that?

I use the rule "what you would put on a postcard." The people at work don't usually get to read my postcards, but I'd hardly be ruined if they did.
