Thanks, X. We have suddenly become besieged with this dog problem. Sunday night, Melanie upchucked four or five times on our beige bedroom carpet, and now last night Scarlett did the same thing. Neither acts sick, as is usually the case with dogs, who are pretty blase' about such matters. However, it is a most unusual event, and a confounding coincidence. I worry most about someone trying to harm our dogs, which is probably paranoid, but certainly not unheard of. In the police lingo, "we have no known enemies." (In 3D that it is ... I don't know about SI <ggg>). Anyway, there is not much beige left in our nice carpet. If it continues, at least our carpet will eventually become a uniform color of a darker shade. The best scenario is that our pups were just exchanging a doggie bug. One of our visitors this weekend was a Newfoundland, who is now a prime suspect in the case.

I said before that I thought the criticism of NEA was overblown and poorly expounded ... but at the same time I would give NEA a low mark for showing common sense or for demonstrating any sensitivity to time and place.

Edit: BTW, the dog names I used are aliases.
