I noticed that the BBC World news on the radio led witht he Israeli Supreme Court story for what was at least the third or fourth time, adding ominously "are they moving towards collective punishment?" If the BBC World news ever covered the Palestinian killing of collaborators, I missed it. Let's see, the Yassin family now has husband and wife, dead, son and nephew tortured, neice dead, wife's sister beaten, wife's brother hiding in Israel. In short, nothing in outrage, compared to the Israeli Supreme Court.
BTW, the Israeli sources say the army is steamed over Ben Eliezer's probe into civilian deaths, pointing out that the four dead "innocent" civilians who touched it off were killed in the process of cutting through a fence into Jewish property at 3 in the morning, and under the circumstances, this was reasonably considered suspicious. |
