To Invade or not to Invade is a decision which should be postponed until Saddam Hussein makes a live appearance before the UN and lays out his case using the political pulpit of the UN. If Saddam does not like to fly, he can book passage on a luxury liner and be in NY in about two weeks, this might even give him time to figure out how best to make his case. What is curious to anyone watching is that Saddam does not travel much, what is up with that? Why can virtually every World leader take the time to do PR on a world government stage other than him?
Saddam needs to come to NY and make his appeal on the world stage. Every World leader of a credible government should be brought to the UN for an annual review in order to thank the New World order for their votes of continuing support and justify it's place at the table of future largess. Arab leadership should unite behind the idea since it puts Saddam and his inner circle at the center of world attention in such a positive way.
All Saddam apologists, need to understand is that virtually all other world leaders of note have made the trek to the world stage and presented their case. It is a breach of duty to the citizens of any country when it's leadership refuses to come before the world body and make that countries case for good standing status within the World community.
So, lets start now and begin a program of annual review, where the cabinet of every country and it's leadership seek the recognition of the world, outline goals, and otherwise make some contribution to the evolution of good government. Let them score themselves according to some standards set by the peer group of legitimate government.Certification before the world body establishes standards of good government, let the leaderships of all countries understand that to use the forum of the UN and it's considerable resources, all governments should be certified. Failing such would be grounds for omission from the world body and eventual targeting for dismissal.
I would be happy to contribute to the general outline, if I am called upon to do so.
Saddam should be the first invited under this program and the UN should sponsor this trip, comp his food and hotel. This new program would ensure that all legitimate governments have earned their place at the table of world affairs, let all the worlds leadership articulate their contribution for the general health and welfare of their citizens, outline their role in preserving the earths resources, etc etc etc. |
