When we were in Australia and New Zealand a few years ago, we would see little white crosses in the strangest places...along treacherous trails, next to boiling waters, down rocky hillsides. There were no fences or signs suggesting danger but those simple crosses were a constant reminder that you'd better watch your step! And we did!
