Moreover, I think if you are actually going to carry it on your person, you have to ask yourself if you are really prepared to use it.

Not to worry. I'm not seriously considering carrying a gun. You know me. I entertain almost any idea that's presented to me, just roll it around in my head. The only use I might have for one would be to carry in my car when I am off on road trips alone, but carrying guns across state borders is just too much of an obstacle. So the world is safe from me.
