Tim, I said fixed rail, not public transportation. Fixed rail is public transportation. By saying "public transportation" I was allowing for any form including fixed rail. You can't use fixed rail conveniently because the beltway has changed commuting patterns in DC. There are a lot of places in the area where I could go to using fixed rail (the Metro). Traveling by car is usually faster but I might take the metro to avoid the hassle of finding a parking space. Tim
