AMAT YoYo Demo —- Revisit of the Low in Sep, Oct and possibly during the Elections then the customary 4 month or more advance during fall, winter and spring then this Rally might make it this time till Oct '03 and beyond.

Decided to demo NOK also (bought some last week at higher prices). For sentimental reasons —- Nokia Cell Phones are the most popular among Filipinos (as an aside, 100% of DSP Chips in Nokia's and 80% of Erickson's are made by Texas Intruments-Philippines. Intel-Philippines make Pentium 4s there also)

In my last post, I said China has 65 million Cell Phones; actually the figure is 165 million! As for the US, at 137 Million —- more than half of the people here have the device. In the Philippines, 13 out of 80 have the device. Students and even Kindergartens have them so the parents know where they are always. Perhaps the Simputer from India won't matter much in there —- the Cell Phone does it all anyway. Small farmers use it for price quotes of their produce, people use it to pay bills and transfer money electronically around the world. But eventually, as many of them get employed abroad (1 million annually leaving the country) they would be buying computers in droves. All towns and cities have their own Web sites now courtesy of those who can afford to establish them —- that's a vast communication network for a kind of people who loves to communicate with each other no matter where they are around the world. (for comparison purposes, about 2 million US based have $52 Billion in buying power annually).
