I've been watching this stock for several months and I keep track of about 400 tech stocks on my computer. CMOS often trades contrary to the market and even fellow semi equip. stocks. There has been some positive product announcement news helping CMOS recently (I recommend the Semiconductor Business News site on the web and apologize for forgetting its address). If you check out how CMOS trades it often meanders for a while but then pops and settles back again. Many of the equipment stocks have passed their old mid-1995 highs. CMOS scraped the edge of the $40s last time so it might still be playing catch up.

A big test for the semi stocks will be the week of 7/28 because Infrastructure will hold an investment seminar in the capital equipment stocks the day before the Robertson Stephens conference on semiconductors. As thousands of institutional investor lemmings independently come to the same conclusion about the same stocks we should get a view as to which ones are the favorites. I would simply follow what the big money says for about two weeks and then look elsewhere for trading ideas. I think they might like ASMLF, PRIA, CYMI, GSNX, SVGI, CMOS, AMAT, and KLIC with AGAI a long shot. But we shall see.
