I used to have a Matrox 450, now run a Radeon 7500, both are dual-head. The desktop display area is 4096 by 1536, spread across the 2 monitors. Matrox now has a version of the 450 that you can rack up to get real power on up to 16 monitors and arrange them how you like. At the moment I'm content with what I have. If Hammer takes off and Itanium continues to sputter, I would not be surprised to see DELL do a 64 bit workstation on the AMD design, assuming Intel does not come up with their own Hammer-like 64 bit extensions on a P4 base. If that happens I would expect DELL to stay in the all Intel mode.
