Well, let's break it down, for you slightly retarded traitors:
1) There are, give or take, a billion Moslems in the world. (You'd think we could find ONE who would publicly condemn the terrorists.)
2) The best estimate is that 10% are wild-eyed, screaming, America-hating, kill-'em-in-a-New York-minute fanatics. You know, rich, YOUR kind of guys.
3) That's 100 million, give or take.
4) In order to put the fear of God (the real one) into these sand rats, you most likely have to kill as many as half, in part just to get the full attention of the rest.
There's your 50 million.
5) They longer we take, the higher the probability these sewer rats will begin to believe in American weakness (your favorite situation), and the more of them that will have to die to close the sale.
The former colonialists faded away in the 15 years after WWII, so these herd animals have reverted to the wild once more (see Arab/Israeli conflict, 1948 to present).
Of course, we could just roll over and die, and let them start civilization from scratch. You'd LIKE that, wouldn't you? Then we wouldn't have to admit it's human nature to have to get your hands bloodied every few generations. Maybe by 2500 there would be an Islamic renaissance, and by 2700, an enlightenment.
Or maybe we should resolve to drag them, kicking and screaming, into the modern world that we have ALREADY built with our ALREADY superior culture.
The REAL problem the left has with THAT is that they are sworn and passionate enemies of the American culture and way of life, and would be just as delighted as the sand rats to see it destroyed.
