Interesting on the Wright Brothers... I love New Zealand, and would have no wish to deflate their claim. However, when they say they do not claim a controlled flight (as the Wrights was) that seems to me to deserve a large asterisk in the records book. Of course, I feel Aaron, McGwire, Sosa, and Bonds should have asterisks, also. If that is too many asterisks, then Ruth should get the one asterisk pointing out that he did his 60 HR's in less games than any of his followers. I couldn't be absolutely sure that the NZ boys had a powered flight other than human, but there was some small indication that perhaps it was. Edit: Haven't the Russians already disputed the Wright's claim to be the first? They've built a lot of planes, but they seem to crash a lot.
