Alaskan and Yukon glaciers had been dumping enough water into the ocean to raise sea level by 0.2 millimeters a year.

Run for the hills, Win, run for the hills! (Didja notice they don't tell you how much this warming is raising the rate of evaporation of the Ocean? Can't have one without the other.)

Other Quotes:

>>> But why are some Alaskan glaciers growing, while most are shrinking? Much about glacial movement remains mysterious.<<<

>>>> "But tidewater glaciers are more complex, because of all this mechanical activity at the snout," said Dr. William Harrison, an emeritus professor of physics and an author of the University of Alaska research. "Climate may provide the trigger, but then what happens doesn't have a lot to do with climate."<<<<<

The last time the "New York Times" ran a story about Alaska Climate changes, they had to publish a retraction on the numbers. Let's wait and see if they fare any better this time.
