Have you ever profited from a Class Action? I never have.

My understanding is that a typical suit is initiated when a stock, any stock, falls in price. The lawyers run up a huge bill assembling a class and prosecuting the case. Ultimately they establish a trivial corporate wrong. The remedy is an admission that the company won't do it again PLUS legal fees:

Company gets hosed - big time waster, big legal bills
Shareholders get hosed - no return, no meaningful remedy, the company is worth less than before the suit.

Perhaps someone knows more. As I read the Wechsler Harwood complaint, it misses the core issues with the company. It just focuses on shortterm stock pricing.
