Market dropping? Shrinking portfolios got you down? How about the Japanese solution, just make shorting illegal and have a one-sided market. After all, look what that brilliant policy has done for their exchanges and indexes. I love to hear these calls to rein in the so-called speculators (translation: bears). Funny that we didn't hear anybody screaming to rein in the bull "speculators" back in the late 1990s
