| GZ, I can see that it would be better if Bush had the blessings of Congress before attacking another nation, but Congress has to face the facts that Iraq, and most of the other Arab countries, want to defeat Israel, and America, in battle. They want to destroy all religions other than Islam, and that is evidenced by passages of the Koran, and Haddith. Since we are going to have to fight, and defeat, them eventually, it seems advisable to do it before they get all their ducks in a row with a capability of killing more Americans than they can expect to do so now. This war is going to happen regardless of what anyone wants, or prefers, so strategically it is better if we take the offensive, instead of being rocked back on our heels and have to resort to defense. |
