Apparently AMD can keep competitive with P4 with just a T-bred. Hammer is supposed to put the P4 in second place.
A 2.5 GHz Barton should stomp a 3.06 Ghz P4.

I agree about AMD keeping the Athlon competitive to avoid the osborne effect. Especially if they can narrow the PR gap between Hammer and t-bred/barton to just a couple hundred PR points. And yes, before the B revision this seemed an impossibility.

Sad thing is that all this is still paper. All AMD really has is a 2200+ T-bred.
