There seems to be some sentiment that these markets may not recover for as many as ten to twenty years, here's why... the boomers have been fueling these markets for the past 30 years, and now that they're approaching retirement, they will begin to move money to safer havens such as bonds... they will live off their investments if they can, but this will provide a negative cash flow away from these markets in such a great proportion that the remaining investors will never see the markets rise much, if at all... the constant negative outflow of cash will discourage those remaining investors from adding money to these markets... this is just one scenario, but I don't see any immediate flaws, any comments? Chip? Anyone?
