isopatch,
Weather update and fare thee well....

Coming up on vacation time for me soon, as always preceded by a flurry of overtime so I can leave work for some R&R without my projects falling apart, ggg.

After taking a good look at the LT charts and with a little friendly persuasion via Slider's posts, in addition to the pronounced weakness in the markets and the threat of tax loss selling, I cut my energy positions today.

Still holding a favorite one or two, special situations where I believe the LT potential outweighs the ST risk. i.e., if the market tanks and my holding do also, I'll add when appropriate if I see it and won't be worried about it if I don't!

So will maintain high cash positions over vacation time and intend to enjoy the time away from the puters, substituting quality time amongst natural wonders of the mountains and forest, with plenty of fresh air, exercise and low stress to refresh a perspective that's too long been among the foul odors of this recent market.

Keep me posted on the big moves, I'll be checking in now and again, but will be absent most of the time until the frost is well layered on the pumpkins.

Speaking of frosted pumpkins, Weather Update, expecting a warm September, October no prediction as yet, normal temps Mid Nov to Dec sometime. Best I can squeak out, many hours spent viewing the screens of reams of data has just about fried me brain, another reason for a vacation!

After I see October and pick up some more clues from my natural observations in various parts of the country, I'll know a little more about the latter half of the winter.

See you all later,

Roebear
