Don't worry about Buzz. Imagine what being elected (and being party leader to boot) will do for his pension status.
I think he's well suited to politics. I concur he will bring the party back to its roots, but I think those roots will be in great conflict with (as Jay puts it) Just Is vis a vis productivity gains, free trade and in general globalisation. (BTW my hat is not necessarily cast in the 'globalisation is good camp'). On the other hand unfortunately as the pendulum swings unionism oft becomes the antithesis of productivity.

He'd sure add some colour to the landscape though and the NDP could once again become king makers and breakers (or at least spoilers :o)
