I didn't hear ANYBODY on the conference call talk about growth of GAAP earnings. They're not crazy enough to try to pull that kind of crap. Besides, as we've seen in the past year or so, it's quite possible to manipulate GAAP earnings in all sorts of legal ways, so I don't think that's really what people are caring about most. While the current picture is not as bad as I thought it might be, anybody trying to make a "growth" story out of the current malaise is just plain nuts. And frankly, everybody (on either side) who are spending most of their time worrying about AMD vs. INTC rather than worrying about the overall dismal state of the industry, is missing the big picture completely. mg
