Yes, it's cheap and it will be cheaper than alternatives for a long time to come. The alternatives you speak of may move the day of reckoning out but it won't gain too much. ME oil, however, will still be in abundance for many decades and as long as folks like Saddam and the Saudi princes control it, we may be behind the eight ball. We will be at their mercy, ergo the desireability of a US takeover if it can be justified. At the moment Saddam is the best justification that can be found. Don't be surprised if we don't have another "Bay of Tonkin" incident in the near future with Saddam as the alleged perp... Would be designed to supply Jr. with all the reasons he needs to invade...and gain control of the oil....
