GST, don't mean to be rude, but where have you been?

Saddam invaded Kuwait in 1990, was headed for Saudi Arabia, shot terrorist skud missles at Israel. He gassed his own people to quell opposition. He surrendered to a peace plan which included disarmament, and an agreement to not produce weapons of mass destruction and allow UN weapons inspectors to insure he followed the agreement. He kicked out the inspectors, calling them spies.

What has he been doing since the inspectors left in 1999? Planting flowers? He is a real threat to the region AND the world.

What right do we have to go there and invade a country? The right to self defense.

Remember WWII? We avoided entering the war and stood by while millions of people were killed by Hitler. No nation was willing to stand up to him until it was to late to avert disaster.

I agree with you on one point, leadership gap. The problem we have is that Bush is losing the PR war to Saddam. Bush can't afford to give away the secrets to what we know about Saddam's war machine and people like you don't trust his judgement. It's a catch 22 for the President. Tell the secrets and risk exposing your sources and their ultimate death by Saddam or give the world the information it needs to decide the correct course of action.

I say, trust the leadership in Washington. If that means finding a peaceful solution then fine. If that means bringing down the wrath of God on the Middle East (Saddam specifically) then do it before they bury our children's children.

9-11 changed everything. We cannot just sit around and wait for those SOB's to slaughter us until we abandon Israel. They have brought the terror to our soil and may they rot in hell for it.
