The act of correcting/editing a published article on SI is wrong without identifying the "editing". The article you changed had the posted hyperlink, however, you did not identify that you had performed "editing" on the original. People on SI see a posted article, then a hyperlink, read the article and assume the article is taken verbatim from the hyperlink, therefore not usually checking the hyperlink. Your editing is plain wrong, subverting the content of the original author/editor.
