Alex times are a changing MS is not leading anymore but following. I can tell you are a MS cult follower. You don't understand that MS monopoly on the desktop OS will slowly be destroyed by you guessed it Java. Check out my favourate Sun post person Addi Jamshidi. He uses very simple terms on what MS is up to.

An Analogy can perhaps be made to that of highways and cars. Up to this point Microsoft was the only viable and valid manufacturer of cars, and consumers had no other choice but to buy the cars made by Microsoft! Well, because of Sun, these special cars are becoming commodity type of entities and therefore people do not have to buy it from the good old Microsoft. So now Microsoft is after controlling the highways these cars would travel on, and will attempt to put a toll at the entrance to each highway. Since it can no longer monopolize the car market, it is now trying to have the control over the highways such cars will be running. Dont know how successful it would be in doing this, but it would be very interesting to see. In any event whatever Microsoft does from this point on, it would be to further push Sun's directions (exactly what a good subsidiary would do to benefit not only its own but its parent company)!
