Serious question, SR...What should the "old fashioned kind of liberalism" be called....It would be my bet that probably 75% or more of us, on this board and others, are just that....no matter what other labels are on us, and no matter how we vote.

I call it "just plain Americanism"....

I'm not talking about the sappy self-interest liberalism of the 65-75 era, but the old-fashioned kind, that helped build the middle class and alleviated some of the burdens of the poor.
