I assume that anyone with a brain could see that if America's crucial support for the Indonesian Holocaust had been removed, the damage would have been reduced. For example, if they didn't have all those weapons we sold them. Or if they didn't have our President and Secretary of State personally travel over to meet them and give them the green light. Or if our UN Ambassador hadn't blocked the UN from intervening. I guess that puts you in the brainless category. The motive is twofold - direct corporate mining interests and indirect corporate interests (domino theory). If one country demonstrates that the people of the country can run their own affairs and control their own resources, others might get the same idea. Tom
