up until about a year ago Red herring was confidently predicting the passing of the Internet "fad" and the inevitable dominance of the AOL/Compuserve model for online business. seems many will pay more for news they want to hear, than for facts that imply real change. even Wired started out with journalistic ambitions, but you get much better play as an unfiltered gameboard where companies can project spin. vincent
