>> Free trade wins another round. << be careful what you wish for. oh, that's right. you don't live in america, so what do you care. >> I guess the influence of the myopic protectionist bunch is waning << uh huh. kind of like the bears were shut up at the top of the bubble. right before the whole house of cards came crumbling down. just wait until bush starts a few more wars for israel's benefit and we get some more terrorists blowing up our cities. we'll see how much americans tolerate free trade and its cousin open borders then. >> Trade barriers are a thing of the past << you must mean for america. trade barriers are alive and well in many other parts of the world, like japan and china for instance. its about time america stopped abiding by trade agreements that our foreign trading partners don't live up to. >> George Bush should be ashamed of himself for the tariffs in the first place << he should be ashamed for not slapping even stiffer tariffs on and if other nations want to squawk and start a trade war he should threaten to withdraw the u.s. from the wto.
