uh huh. kind of like the bears were shut up at the top of the bubble. right before the whole house of cards came crumbling down. just wait until bush starts a few more wars for israel's benefit and we get some more terrorists blowing up our cities. we'll see how much americans tolerate free trade and its cousin open borders then.

you must mean for america. trade barriers are alive and well in many other parts of the world, like japan and china for instance. its about time america stopped abiding by trade agreements that our foreign trading partners don't live up to.

he should be ashamed for not slapping even stiffer tariffs on and if other nations want to squawk and start a trade war he should threaten to withdraw the u.s. from the wto.
