gregor:
A few thoughts: It is timely that you brought this to our attention. My message at Church was about Jonah, and how he ignored God's voice. It is obvious who won that one, and God always will win. You cannot hide from God, because He will achieve His goals for your life, and for His plan, even if it means He has to get your attention in a Big Fish! You may try to do things a different way, than God's way, but He will get your attention, at some point. I believe I listen better at this age, and maybe that comes from growing in Him,and realizing that He is in control, and His way will prevail. I can tell you the specific times, I was not listening, and the consequences. But, as with Jonah, he still prevailed. The lesson to me, is listen to God, follow God and wait on His timing. Seeing how he works and weaves details together amazes me! The is my rambling for today!:)
He also drew a parallel to the three days, inside the fish, being the exact time Jesus, was on the cross.
I will pray for your fifty mile trip! :)Westi |
