YORONTO, ONTARIO, Sep 5, 2002 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
Denison Energy Inc.'s Greek legal counsel advised Denison today that Denison has been successful in its appeal of the
lower court judgment that awarded 227 former Greek employees compensation beyond the severance paid to them when
they were terminated in late 1998. The Greek court of appeal rejected the lower court decision that the terminations were
invalid and abusive and set aside the judgment against Denison. Denison had estimated that their liability could have been
up to $12 million. As at June 30, 2001, Denison had an accrual of $1.0 million to cover remaining liabilities in Greece.

Further details will be provided on Denison's website, www.denisonenergy.com, once the 70 page decision has been
translated and fully reviewed.

The news release contains forward- looking information with respect to Denison's operations and future financial results.
Actual results may differ from expected results for a variety of reasons including factors discussed in the Company's
Management Discussion and Analysis section of its 2001 Annual Report.
