G, I followed your advice and bought the IBM Thinkpad with a P-III chip, 256k RAM, 40 gig HD, Win XP-Pro, MS Ofice, and BUILT-IN 802.11b capability without using a pcmcia slot! I like the P-III because it is effectively as fast as a P-4, but battery life is MUCH better. (At least that's the rap) It didn't hurt the billfold, either. Your advice helped alot. Best nnil
