I'm not the guy to comment, Jack. Geophysics is both an art and science requiring theory and experience. I have neither.
At one time, experienced geophysical types like Terry Krebs and Steve King posted on SI. Unfortunately, like many others, they don't bother anymore.
When a chap like the "geo" suddenly shows up from nowhere on Stockhouse, I get nervous. He's too positive and knows too much and sounds a bit smug. Few true experts in any field I've known are like that. This guy talks the talk but can he walk the walk? I'm doubtful.
I think it was Bruce Robbins who coined the line geo-babble. It's a good one. When there's too much of it, another good reason to get nervous. There was a lot of it on Muskox. When a few people like Robbins, King or myself politely questioned it, response was less than positive....LOL.
FWIW, from what little I've read, whatever causes the gravity anomaly is not likely the source of massive surface geochemical anomalies. It sounds too local and too deep. However, it could be a sulphide deposit either barren or enriched. Who knows? Going further, I suspect drilling delays are to allow time for heavy promotion and time for some key players to reduce positions and retain only warrants. Just a hunch.
I hope PLY get a hit. They have a chance but odds are long. Last year I had a bunch bought cheap after their ipo and enjoyed the play. I didn't repurchase at lows this spring and doubt I'll do so now. But it's fun to watch and I wish them well. And who knows, it may be there. No one can say otherwise until it's drilled. |
